1.  Registration and admission requirement

TUEBA only accept international students who do not violate the law, who are not in the process of considering or prosecuting criminal responsibility of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam or the nation where they are citizens.

2. Language requirement

2. 1. Vietnamese proficiency requirement (for programs taught in Vietnamese):

•     International students must have a Vietnamese certificate equivalent to B2 level (4/6 level) according to the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Framework specified in the Circular No. 17/2015 / TT-BGDBT dated September 1^st, 2015 of The Prime Minister of Education and Training about promulgating the Vietnamese language capacity framework for foreigners.
•     TUEBA only organizes preparatory classes to improve Vietnamese skills for students who do not meet the Vietnamese proficiency requirement.
•     Tuition fee of Vietnamese course: 13,500,000 VND/ person/ year.
•     Foreign students who have had Vietnamese certificates provided by training institutions which are recognized by Thai Nguyen University or have graduated from a high school or university programs taught in Vietnamese are exempt from the Vietnamese entry test.

2.2. English language requirement (for programs in English)

•    International students must have a English certificate equivalent to IELTS 4.5 or higher (for Bachelor Degree) and IELTS 5.0 or higher (for Postgraduate degree).
• International students who want to apply the high-quality program but do not satisfy the requirement about English proficiency will have to learn English in the first year with the tuition fee is 30.000.000 VND/ year.
•     International students come from the nations where English is the primary language are exempt from the English entry test.

3. Professional requirement

3.1. Undergraduate degree

International students who apply for the undergraduate programs must have a high school diploma or equivalent certificates. TUEBA will considered acceptance basing on the study results of students at the high school.

3.2. Associate degree

International students who apply for the Inter –college degree must have a college diploma and a transcript. TUEBA will considered acceptance basing on the study results of students at the college

3.3. Master’s degree

International students who apply for the master’s degree must have the bachelor’s diploma with the right major or equivalent to the major of master programs. If they want to apply for the master's degree with a major different from their bachelor’s program, they must study additional subjects and pass tests in accordance to the provisions of the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training

3.4. Doctor’s degree

- International students must have a master’s diploma, transcripts with their majors is relevant to the major of the Doctor’s degree that international students want to apply.

- International students who have a bachelor’s diploma want to apply directly to doctor’s degree must satisfy the following conditions: the bachelor’s degree must relevant to the doctor’s program; having at least one year of experience in the field relating to the major, or having two scientific researches that have been published in prestigious scientific journals.

4. Document requirements

4.1. For the Associate Degree

- Application form (Appendix 1);

- Copy, translation of college diploma;

- Copy, translation of transcripts of college degree;

- Proof of exemption from Vietnamese language test; a Vietnamese language proficiency certificate issued by a competent training institution (if any);

- Curriculum vitae (1-2 pages) with photo attached, four photos (sized 4 x 6 cm) taken within 6 months before submission;

- A copy of the passport which is valid for the entire period of studying in Vietnam or at least 01 year from the expected date of arrival in Vietnam;

- The health certificates provided by a competent medical institution of the international students’ country or by a provincial or central medical institution of Vietnam, which shows that students are well enough to study, issued within 6 months before submission;

- A commitment about financial ability to ensure studying and living cost (for international students paid by themselves) or financial support letter (for international students granted scholarships from programs, projects, sponsors)

- Decision of Lao Ministry of Education and Sports (for Laos students) about sending Laos student to study in Vietnam.

4.2. For bachelor’s degree

- Application form (Appendix 1);

- Copies, translations of high school diploma or equivalent certifications into Vietnamese (English);

- Copies, translations of high school transcripts into Vietnamese (English);

- Certificate of studying results accumulated at the foreign educational institutions, or in Vietnam (if any) for international students who are studying but want to continue their study at Thai Nguyen University;

- Proof of exemption from Vietnamese language test; a Vietnamese language proficiency certificate issued by a competent training institution (if any);

- Curriculum vitae (1-2 pages) with photo attached, four photos (sized 4 x 6 cm) taken within 6 months before sending the application form;

- A copy of the passport which is valid for the entire period of studying in Vietnam or at least 01 year from the expected date of arrival in Vietnam;

- The health certificates provided by a competent medical institution of the international students’ country or by a provincial or central medical institution of Vietnam, which shows that students are well enough to study, issued within 6 months before submission;

- A commitment about financial ability to ensure studying and living cost (for international students paid by themselves) or financial support letter (for international students granted scholarships from programs, projects, sponsors)

4.3. For master's degree

- Application form (Appendix 1);

- Copies, translations of the bachelor diploma certified by a competent agency of the student’s country into Vietnamese (English);

- Copies, translations of the bachelor transcript certified by a competent agency of the student’s country into Vietnamese (English);

- Certificate of Vietnamese language proficiency issued by a competent training institution or proof of exemption from language test (if any);

- The registration form of topics, programs, research at Thai Nguyen University is written in Vietnamese (if any);

- Curriculum vitae (1-2 pages) with photo attached, four photos (sized 4 x 6 cm) taken within 6 months before submission;

- A copy of the passport which is valid for the entire period of studying in Vietnam or at least 01 year from the expected date of arrival in Vietnam;

- The health certificates provided by a competent medical institution of the international students’ country or by a provincial or central medical institution of Vietnam, which shows that students are well enough to study, issued within 6 months before submission;

- A commitment about financial ability to ensure studying and living cost (for international students paid by themselves) or financial support letter (for international students granted scholarships from programs, projects, sponsors)

- Decision of Lao Ministry of Education and Sports (for Laos students) about sending Laos student to study in Vietnam.

4.4. For doctor’s degree

- Application form (Appendix 1);

- Curriculum vitae (1-2 pages) with photo attached, four photos (sized 4x6 cm) taken within 6 months before submission;

- Copy, translation of master’s diploma into Vietnamese (English);

- Copies, translation of mater’s transcript into Vietnamese (English) 

- Certificate of work experience in the field of in the field relating to the major (if any);

- List and copy of at least 01 scientific article or report relating to the research orientation published in a peer-reviewed journal or conference or seminar within 36 months before submission. For articles not published in English, a translation into Vietnamese is required;

- Translation of summary of master's thesis (1200 - 1500 words) into Vietnamese (English);

- Research proposal (in Vietnamese or English);

- Proof of cases of exemption from Vietnamese language test; Certificate in Vietnamese language proficiency issued by a competent training institution (if any); Certificate in English proficiency.

- 01 recommendation letter by 01 scientist who is professor, associate professor or doctor of science or doctorate who has participated in professional activities with the international student and is knowledgeable in the field which international student plan to research;

- The health certificates provided by a competent medical institution of the international students’ country or by a provincial, city or central medical institution of Vietnam, which certified they satisfy health condition to study, issued within 6 months before submission;

- A copy of the passport which is valid for the entire period of study in Vietnam or at least 01 year from the expected date of arrival in Vietnam;

- A commitment about financial ability to ensure learning and living cost.

- Decision of Lao Ministry of Education and Sports (for Laos student) about sending Laos student to study in Vietnam.
