CONFERENCE: “RENEWING TRAINING PROGRAM, PROMOTING STUDEN’S EMPLOYABILITY”

 

 

In the morning of August 24th, 2020, TUEBA organized a conference named: “Renewing training program, promoting student’s employability” to create opportunities for staffs, employees to share their experiences in renewing the training program and teaching methods. It is a part of project “Development of student success factors and employability of disadvantaged and vulnerable students through new approaches to course design and teaching and learning” which granted by Au4skill.

At the beginning of the conference, Assoc. Prof. Do Anh Tai gave an opening speech and presentation: “Development of student success factors and employability of disadvantaged and vulnerable students through new approaches to course design and teaching and learning – Results and experience” .Prof. Do Anh Tai emphasized that it was difficult for TUEBA’s students to find a job after graduation. They were lack of knowledge, skills which labor market required. Therefore, they often felt shock when they entered the labor market. The project “Development of student success factors and employability of disadvantaged and vulnerable students through new approaches to course design and teaching and learning” granted by Au4skill aiming to promote employability of TUEBA’s students through new approaches to course design and teaching and learning. In the framework of the project, TUEBA cooperates with experts coming from Queensland University of Technology to organize a lot of seminars, online courses to provide for staffs and employees meaningful experience and lessons.

 

At the seminar, there were 6 presentations of lecturers, including:

  1. Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thuy Ha presented: “Experience on program development, according to career orientation at Thai Nguyen University of Forestry and Agriculture”.
  2. Dr. Ta Thi Thanh Huyen – Deputy Head of Training Department, Thai Nguyen University of Economics and Business and Administration presented: “Renewing training program of the University in order to promote student’s employability”.
  3. Dr. Ha Quang Trung – Dean of Economics and Agriculture Development Faculty: “Renewing Agriculture Economics  Program to meet the demand of labor market and global integration in Thai Nguyen University of Forestry and Agriculture.
  4. Dr. Ngo Thi Huong Giang – Vice Dean of Business Administration Department: “Redesign the curriculum of Business Administration programs according to CDIO standard: Results, difficulties and experience.
  5. Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tam – Deputy Head of Quality Control of TUAF presented: “Renewing examination according to output standard in TUAF”.
  6. Dr. Do Thi Thuy Linh – Lecturer of Marketing – Trade and Tourism presented: “Roles of career orientation for student after graduation”.

During the conference, all participants had chances to discuss about above representations. After this conference, organizing committee hopes that experience will be applied in reality aiming to create graduates satisfy the demand of labor resources.

SCIENCE WORKSHOP: “MANAGING INVESTMENT IN VIETNAM IN NEW CIRCUMSTANCE”.

On 12 June, 2020, the faculty of Economics – Thai Nguyen University of Economics and Business Administration organized a science workshop: “Managing investment in Vietnam in new circumstance’. Participating the events, there were Dr. Nguyen Bich Hong –Deputy Head of Department of Science – Technology & International Cooperation. On behalf of Faculty of Economics, there were Dr. Bui Nu Hoang Anh – Dean of Faculty of Economics, Dr – Nguyen Tien Long; Deputy Head of Faculty of Economic and other lecturers and students of Faculty of Economics.

At the workshop,  Dr. Bui Nu Hoang Anh gave a opening speech and shared science information about the conference.

All papers published in the proceedings of the conference are high quality with science information which is significant both in theory and practice, that attracts interests of all participants.

The organize committee chose some outstanding papers of lecturers of Faculty Economics to present at the workshop, including: “Analyzing the investment environment of Thai Nguyen province: view from the administrative procedures revolution” of Msc. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen; “Investment activities in Vietnam Agriculture in the international integration strategy” of Dr. Nguyen Thi Nhung; “ Impacts of CPTPP into FDI and foreign trade of Vietnam” of authors: Msc. Nguyen Thi Thuy Dung, Dr. Nguyen Tien Long. Dr. Dong Van Tuan; “Activities of Security Market in recent years”.

The science workshop “Managing investment activities in Vietnam in new circumstance” organized in an open, serious and effective atmosphere. This is really a scientific forum for scientists, lecturers and students of  Faculty of Economics.

OPENING THE TRAINING CLASS: “THE YOUNG DO START UP WITH COOPERATIVE MODEL”

Today, July 6, 2020, Thai Nguyen University of Economics & Business Administration cooperates with College of Management for Agriculture and Rural Development 2 (CMARD2), Vietnam Cooperative Enterprise Development Project (VCED) and The Thai Nguyen Cooperative Union to organize the opening of the training class ” The young do start up with cooperative Model” at the large Hall, Dong Duong Hotel, Thai Nguyen City.
All activities of the training class will happen in 2 days, from 6th to 7th July 2020 with the target is to enhance the capacity, qualifications and creative ideas for young intellectuals who glue with the development of agricultural cooperatives.
The training class is organized in the framework of Vietnam Cooperative Enterprise Development Project (VCED) which is managed by the Société de Coopération pour Le Développment International (SOCODEVI). The project will help develop a national strategy to scale up and replicate the success of high-performance cooperatives. It will assist cooperatives to create and implement business plans, while developing financing mechanisms to enable them to acquire new technology for the processing and marketing of agricultural products. It will deliver training programs on governance and gender equality, environmentally sustainable agricultural production techniques, such as safe application of fertilizer and pesticides, and post-harvest handling in order to meet quality certification standards and access new markets. SOCODEVI is an organization with a long-term cooperation with the University of Economics and Business Administration.
Thanks for Department of Science – Technology & International Cooperation (tueba) with the role as a connecting bridge, SOCODEVI and TUEBA jointed hands to organized many meaningful seminars and workshop relating to the topic of cooperative development.

In addition, the event witnesses the participation of MSc. Gaby Breton – co-director of the VCED, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung – Chairman of Thai Nguyen Cooperatives Union and more than 40 people who are youngers with strong advanced spirit and new innovative start-up ideas..

During the class, all participants will have opportunities to access new innovative agricultural methods in production and value chain approaches to develop a strategic position for cooperatives in the price chain.

WORKSHOP “TEACHING METHOD AND ASSESSMENT OF STUDY RESULT IN PROFESSION – ORIENTED HIGHER EDUCATION TRAINING

Đào tạo giáo dục đại học định hướng nghề nghiệp là một xu hướng trong đào tạo giáo dục đại học nhằm cung cấp chương trình đào tạo đáp ứng các tiêu chuẩn quốc tế và có mối liên hệ chặt chẽ với các lĩnh vực nghề nghiệp khác trong nền kinh tế xã hội của Việt Nam.

 

Với mục tiêu là nâng cao năng lực của giáo viên thiết kế, tổ chức hoạt động, phương pháp giảng dạy và kết quả nghiên cứu đánh giá của sinh viên trong đào tạo POHE, hội thảo đã được tổ chức tại TUEBA vào ngày 04 tháng 6 ngày , năm 2020. Nó tập trung vào rất nhiều lĩnh vực, bao gồm: cách đánh giá phương pháp giảng dạy trong đào tạo POHE, phong cách học tập của sinh viên trong đào tạo POHE, thiết kế các hoạt động trong giảng dạy và học tập nhằm vào các hoạt động cụ thể, phương pháp giảng dạy khác và đánh giá kết quả học tập.

 

Trong đào tạo POHE, sinh viên sẽ có điều kiện tốt nhất để thực hành, nâng cao kỹ năng và kinh nghiệm có thể giúp họ làm quen với môi trường làm việc mặc dù họ là sinh viên. Điều này sẽ đạt được kết quả tốt nếu có sự hợp tác giữa các trường đại học và doanh nghiệp trong việc nâng cao chất lượng đào tạo và tích hợp các lý thuyết và thực tiễn.

THE SUCCESS OF THE WORKSHOP “LEARNING OUTCOMES AND CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT”

In 3 days, from December 2 to December 4, 2019, Thai Nguyen University of Economics and Business Administration in cooperation with Au4skill Project of Australian Government organized a workshop named “Learning outcomes and curriculum development”.

The main keynote speaker of the workshop was Dr. Shaun Nykvist, Senior Lecturer, Department of Education, School of Lecturers and Leadership, Queensland University of Technology (Australia). He is an expert in training staffs and lecturers of many universities all around the world in the fields of learning outcomes and curriculum development.

On behalf of Thai Nguyen University of Economics & Business Administration, there were  Assoc.Prof. Do Anh Tai – Vice Rector;  leaders of TUEBA’s departments and all lecturers of the Faculty of Business Administration.

The content of the workshop focused on theoretical and practical issues about output standards and training programs. At the workshop, Dr. Shaun Nykvist introduced 5 main contents: (1) General Introduction on the role of learning outcomes, levels of learning outcomes; (2) Assessing and evaluating learning outcomes: Suggested models, principles, and procedure for evaluating intended and achieved learning outcomes; (3)Which requirements should the formulation of learning outcomes meet? (4) Experiences in implementing a Learning Outcomes Approach: A case study of Queensland university of Technology; (5) Practising on developing learning outcomes;

One of the popular trend in higher education in the world is developing the capacity of learners.

The quality of training depends on many factors including: learning outcomes and the curriculums. The learning outcomes and curriculums help to determine the development level of socio-economic and scientific-technical of coutries as well as universities. That is the reason why the workshop was organised.

WORKSHOP: “SEEKING VOICES FROM VIETNAM: OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES IN PUBLISHING INTERNATIONAL PAPERS IN THE GLOBAL SOUTH” 

In order to strengthen the scientific research capacity of TUEB’s teacher, on December 9th, 2019, Thai Nguyen University of Economics & Business Administration held a workshop: “ Seeking voices from Vietnam: Opportunities and challenges in Publishing international papers in the Global South”.

On the side of TUEBA, there were Assoc. Prof. Do Anh Tai. PhD – Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Tran Van Quyet. PhD – Head of Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation and other officials and lecturers.

From Deakin University (Australia), there were: Mr. Mike Knopp, Head of International Relations and Cooperation; Ms. Kristy Hess: Assoc.Prof, Department of Communications; Ms. Kaitlin Hopkins: Marketing Department; Ms. Mai Vinh Trinh: Chief Representative of Deakin University in Vietnam and Cambodia; Ms. Trinh Dinh Phuong Thanh: Representative of Deakin University in Vietnam;

At the workshop,  Assoc. Prof. Kristy Hess presented the current research context, opportunities and challenges in publishing international articles. Also participants discussed the requirements of publishers, experience in publishing international papers and trends in publish.

At the end of the workshop, experts and participants took a photo together to mark the event.
